The International Day of the Girl is an incredible moment to bring attention to the unique needs and challenges that girls face around the world. Last year, the 2022 International Day of the Girl marked a decade of celebration and recognition of girls' potential, achievements, and contributions to the world. It was an inspiring experience for our team to partner with PLAN International Australia in developing a campaign that highlights the life-changing work they have achieved so far.

Looking back on the past ten years, it's easy to see how much progress has been made in creating opportunities for girls. We cannot however ignore the fact that there has been a regression in recent years. Despite the remarkable strides that have been taken, there is still a long way to go to achieve equality for girls globally. At the current rate of progress, it would take hundreds of years to meet the objectives that we have set out to achieve.

While this may seem daunting, it's important to remain optimistic and recognize the power of coming together to create change. The campaign surrounding the International Day of the Girl aimed to do just that. We strive to celebrate the progress that has been made and the incredible potential that lies within every girl. By highlighting the challenges that girls still face, we can inspire people to take action and make a real difference in the lives of girls around the world.
